Megan is a passionate clinician who has twenty years of clinical experience providing therapy to children, teens, and adults. Megan comes with extensive training in a variety of modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Motivational interviewing. Her non-judgmental, validating, and empathic style, combined with a collaborative approach and effective tools, help people develop the skills and awareness they need to foster meaningful changes in their life.
Megan has a special interest and expertise in working with individuals and families who experience food allergies. Megan is listed on The Food Allergy Counselor directory and is currently the only provider listed in Ontario. Megan understands the intersectionality of food allergies and mental health, and their impact on mental health, physical health, and daily living. This allows her to support her clients in taking a holistic approach to managing food allergies while also leading a life that feels fulfilling.
She also has expertise in supporting parents through the challenges raising children can present, such as child/adolescent behavioural or mental health difficulties. Her in depth training and experience allows her to create an individualized treatment plan that takes into account your parenting approach and values, and the needs of your child.
Megan provides Clinical Supervision in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
